How to find our ports and harbours around Lake Mjøsa
Lake Mjøsa is Norway’s largest inland lake, covering an area of approximately 365 square kilometers (141 square miles), and is about 117 kilometers (73 miles) long.
Around its perimeter you will find the towns of Gjøvik, our home port, as well as Hamar, Brumunddal, Eidsvoll and Lillehammer. See below.

Why should we travel with Skibladner?
We run a daily service between the end of June and mid August (except Mondays) between the towns on Lake Mjøsa, about an hour’s drive north of Oslo in Norway, calling at scenic harbours along the route.
Skibladner is the world’s oldest paddle steamer still in regular service and one of Norway’s best-loved attractions, 168 years after her launching in August 1856. We offer enjoyable outings and day-cruises for all the family, with departures from harbours around Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest inland lake.
Experience the true sounds, sights and scents of her steam engines driving her paddle wheels, or visit the souvenir shop, kiosk or restaurant on board. There is something for everybody on board. There are beautiful views of the lake to be had from the sun-deck, and historic saloons below decks, painstakingly restored to their original appearance with authentic fabrics and materials.
Skibladner is one of Norway’s best preserved historic vessels and has been restored to her authentic appearance from 1888. She is still powered by her genuine triple-expansion steam engines. This charming vessel offers an authentic experience of steamship travel in the 1800s, as well as an excellent restaurant serving the traditional dinner menu of poached salmon and potatoes for main course and strawberries and coffee for desert, which has been served on board for a century and a half. There is also a children’s menu with healthy choices.
